Former Maccabi Athlete Clinches U.S. Gold In Dramatic Race
Our Maccabi kids are winning Olympic Gold and making history. Thanks to former Maccabi athlete Jason Lezak, Michael Phelps' quest for eight gold medals, are still alive. As the anchor of the U.S. 4x100 freestyle relay team, Lezak overcame the French and won by a mere .08 of a second setting a new world record. The race is being called one of the greatest come-from-behind wins in Olympic history. Swimming the second leg of the relay for the U.S. was Garrett Weber-Gale, who is also Jewish.
