THE ASSOCIATED’s Jewish Volunteer Connection (JVC), which matches individuals, families and groups with hands-on projects to meet their interest, is managing this initiative. JVC hopes members of our community will make a commitment to volunteer throughout the year. Please click on the Volunteer Opportunities button to explore our community’s many volunteer opportunities.

Volunteering is only half the challenge. We also have to track our progress! To do so, we have created an online form designed to help us keep track of our community’s volunteer hours. Whether you serve on a board or committee or volunteer in classrooms, shelters or at other communal organizations, we ask that you take a minute to enter your information to help us reach our goal. Individuals, families or groups will receive “credit” for their hours and recognition throughout the drive, which runs through June 2010. In addition, they may record their hours on behalf of the synagogue or day school of their choice. Synagogue and school teams will be eligible for prizes in a friendly competition tied to the drive. Please click the Log My Hours button to enter your volunteer hours.

Individually we do so much. Imagine what we can accomplish TOGETHER.
