Annual Teen Leadership Summit
Recognizing the enormous challenges students face in their schools, communities and at home, the ECYP strives not only to focus on leadership, but also diversity, tolerance, and community relations. In 2008, the ECYP implemented a new model and program that provides free access to resources and leadership skills; encourages high school graduation; and creates pathways to college and employment through its Annual Teen Leadership Summit. The Summit is a first-of-its-kind teen conference, created solely by and for Baltimore area students ages 12-18.
The Teen Leadership Summit is a creative and safe learning environment where over 600 young people from under-served communities within the Baltimore area work with local and regional leaders to explore their own ideas, develop leadership skills and build confidence in themselves through various workshops.
Through the Teen Leadership Summit, the ECYP will continue to support community-based initiatives, locally, and around the world, providing youth with free access to resources, skills, and experiences to help them succeed in their careers, contribute to their communities, and lead outstanding lives.
