ECYP Highlights

Over the past ten years, the ECYP has achieved tremendous success.  The program has been featured in various media including: The Baltimore Sun, The Baltimore Times, The AFRO American Newspaper, The Jewish Times, WBAL TV, WJZ TV, Fox 45, Maryland Public Television, WYPR public radio, The Woodlawn Villager, Comcast, and Patuxent newspapers. 

In total, 124 participants of the ECYP have completed the program. Of those graduates, 97% went directly to college.  The remaining 3% either joined the military or entered the workforce.  Currently, 53 of our alumni are enrolled in college or law school. 

• The ECYP Class of 2009 had a 100% graduation and college acceptance rate; held solid leadership positions; and engaged in a high level of volunteerism.

• Upon their return from Israel, ECYP participants acquired a comprehensive knowledge on cultural differences, diversity, conflict-resolution and service.

• All students increased their self-confidence, academic achievement, independence and interest in civic participation.
