Jewish Community Services’ Certified Geriatric Care Managers provide
comprehensive assessments focusing on medical status, current health care
situation, cognitive function, environmental safety, care needs, emotional needs
and more. Care Managers work with individuals and their families to create and
implement personalized plans. This intensive 24/7 service helps seniors to
continue living in their own homes or in other settings with as much
independence and dignity as possible.
Licensed mental health professionals offer counseling/therapy to people
dealing with stress, anxiety or depression, issues relating to relationships or
family crises. (Most private health insurances are accepted.)
Older adults enjoy a nutritious, kosher meal with each
other.

Housing Development
CHAI develops affordable housing for seniors through new construction and
rehabilitation of existing buildings. A total of 1,488 affordable housing units
in 14 apartment buildings have been built.
The JCC Book Club for older adults meets the first Sunday of the month at the
Weinberg Park Heights JCC.

Senior Home Repair/Modification Program
CHAI ensures that each year 200 low-income senior and disabled persons’
households in Northwest Baltimore receive necessary home repairs, modifications,
assistive devices, weatherization and seasonal maintenance. In addition, CHAI
provides counseling and application assistance to clients seeking additional
housing benefits and entitlements.

eligibility for benefits and access community services that address all facets
of life’s challenges.
Jewish Community Services offers specialized resources for Holocaust
survivors, funded by the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany,
Inc.
Our community provides services to seniors in the Northwest area. The program
engages seniors in self-help programs and promotes community
involvement.
