What we could do:
Social Networking & Business Networking – Online and in Real Time
Meetup.com * JDate * J-more.org
We want to meet our young adults where they are by tapping into the online platforms young adults are already using. At locations downtown and in the other neighborhoods they populate, we’ll establish social and business networking events to bring them together and build Jewish community.

Shalom Baltimore & Shalom Baltimore, TOO!
Two Community Studies have indicated we’re not effectively reaching our newcomers. Our re-envisioned Shalom Baltimore will localize efforts to the neighborhoods to which newcomers are moving – Downtown, Towson, Lutherville, Timonium, Roland Park – and provide newcomers with in-person, personal introductions to their new homes by a cadre of peer volunteers. We’ll also re-define what it means to be a newcomer by offering high-touch, low-barrier opportunities for unaffiliated Jews to learn more about Jewish Baltimore.

PJ Library at the Pumpkin Theatre
Knowing that families with young children engage
in arts and entertainment programming with their kids, we will commission the Pumpkin Theatre to turn one of the PJ Library favorites into a play. By bringing together PJ families – now part of a “virtual community” through the receipt of PJ books and DVDs – we’ll create an actual community.
