About the Mosaic:
An extraordinary array of materials ranging from tile and beads to china and mirrors come together to create a stunning 10-foot by 9-foot mosaic. A vividly colored pomegranate tree brought to life with lush foliage and fruit anchors the design, which is framed by a richly textured background. The tree is fashioned with various tones of green and brown tile. Pomegranates are created with tile, china, beads and ceramics. Slivers of mirror enhance a gradient blue sky. On the ground rests an assemblage of finds, treasured objects contributed by the many volunteers invested in the collaboration.
