Associated Women, in partnership with the Federation of Jewish Women’s Organizations of Maryland, presents A Journey to a Different Kind of Happy, featuring Laura Black, author of Climbing Down the Ladder.

Join with like-minded women from our community to explore how we can add meaning to our lives at times of transition within our careers, our families and our volunteer roles.

Laura’s book is available for purchase at your local bookseller and on Amazon.

Light summer fare; dietary laws observed.

A portion of the ticket price will support mental health services provided by The Associated system through such partners as Jewish Community Services, CHANA and the Jewish Community Center. In addition to sustaining services already provided by The Associated system, these funds will support new mental health and wellness outreach and education efforts and build our system’s capacity to respond to the increased need for mental health services.

About the Author

Laura Black, mother and grandmother of three, is a retired attorney and award-winning businesswoman turned author, freelance writer, speaker and advocate for women. She is an active communal volunteer and has served in such leadership roles at The Associated as chair, Women’s Campaign, and chair, Associated Women.

Laura was born in New York and raised in Miami. She and her husband, Charles, along with their Cavachon, Einstein, spend their time in Baltimore, Miami and the Eastern Shore of Maryland.
