Baltimore Jewish Council Takes Part in Panel Conversation on Holocaust Documentary

Recently, the Baltimore Jewish Council, an agency of The Associated, and other members of the Baltimore Jewish community joined in a sneak peak of the Ken Burns documentary, The U.S. and The Holocaust, a new three-part documentary that looks at America’s response to the Holocaust in the 1940s. The Associated is proud to be a sponsor of the program when it airs to the public on MPT later this month.

Among the panelists are Emily Goodman, Director of Holocaust and Countering Antisemitism Programs, Baltimore Jewish Council and Marisa Shultz, Education Program Manager, Jewish Museum of Maryland.

They are joined by Howard Libit, Executive Director of the BJC, who is moderating the discussion after the viewing.

With regards to the importance of the documentary, the work of The Associated system and the rise in antisemitism, Howard had this to say:

“With the rising antisemitism we are experiencing in our nation and our world, this powerful new documentary examining America’s role during the Holocaust is more relevant than ever. The collective work of the BJC, the Jewish Museum of Maryland, and The Associated in educating about the Holocaust and fighting against hate and antisemitism is central to our mission. We look forward to sharing our work with the community as in our preview conversation about this documentary.”
